To have more choice when you choose the match to bet on, we suggest registering on Betfair. Betfair is another betting exchange as Matchbook, and as Matchbook you can use it to place your lay bets.
From now on, you will find on the Oddsmatcher also bets to do on Betfair. In the column “Exchange” will be indicated if the lay bet is on Matchbook or Betfair.
Why should I use two exchanges?
For some matches, the return of the bets is higher on Betfair. Higher return means more profit for you! Of course you can also decide to use only Matchbook to have all the money on one account. The choice is yours.
To use Betfair as a normal bookmaker, you can use its “Sportsbook” section, to use it as a betting exchange (and place lay bets) use the “Exchange” section.
How does it work?
Take a look at the Exchange section on Betfair.
You can see that the back and lay odds are indicated with the same colours (blue for back bet and pink for lay bet). Also, the betting experience is similar, with liquidity shown under the odds and betting slips that indicates your profits and losses based on the result of the match:
- Credit card
- Bank transfer (normal bank transfer/iDeal/Sofort), for any bank transfer you have to pay a 5€ fee when you want to withdraw.
Remember you will only be able to withdraw with the same method you used to deposit.
Betfair applies a 6.5% commission on every winning bet. You don’t have to worry about that. Insert the commission in the calculator and it will consider it when it calculates how much to lay bet. Also, the return showed on the Oddsmatcher considers the commission and shows the real return for the bet.
