Which payment method should I use?

There are a lot of options to deposit and withdraw from bookmakers. Choosing the right one can be difficult. There are hidden fees you may not notice, or you may incur in long processing time.

As a general rule, the bookmakers will let you withdraw only with the same method you used to deposit.

After trying many times with many websites, we suggest these methods:

1. Credit Card

We think that using credit cards (Mastercard or Visa) is the best way to pay many bookmakers. They are accepted by every website, they provide instant payment, and there is usually no commission. The only downside is that it usually takes 2 to 5 working days to withdraw the money to your credit card.

2. Skrill

If you don’t have a credit card or prefer not to use it, we suggest using Skrill. Skrill is an online wallet (like Paypal) that links to your bank account. With Skrill, you have a separate account to use only for Matched Betting. The advantages are many: instant deposit and fast withdrawal on most of the websites (usually less than a day), more security, and the possibility to pay with iDeal through Skrill.

Commissions:

  • There is 0% commission if you use Skrill as a gateway to pay with iDeal. When you deposit on a bookmaker’s website, you can select Skrill as a payment method, and if you don’t have enough credit on Skrill, it will let you use iDeal to deposit on the website with 0% fees.
  • 5€ to withdraw from Skrill to your bank account. You can avoid this fee by withdrawing only a few times. As long as you do Matched Betting you will use the money you have in Skrill to make new offers. You can also use your Skrill account to make online payments or get a Skrill Mastercard to use as a normal card.
  • 1% to deposit on Skrill account. (you can avoid it by using Skrill only to deposit on bookmakers with iDeal as described in the previous point)

Create an account here in less than 2 minutes.

Why not use iDeal directly?

We don’t suggest this solution mainly because you will have to wait a long time to withdraw your money from every bookmarker (bank transfer takes from 2 to 5 working days) and because there is not the option to deposit with iDeal on Matchbook

Why not use PayPal?

Unfortunately, PayPal cannot be used on Matchbook and most of the bookmaker’s websites.
